About this event

On Friday 2 April 2027, Guus Meeuwis will perform Live in Ahoy at Rotterdam Ahoy; the show starts at 20:30. It is the second evening of the series, after Thursday 1 April and before Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 April.

About Guus Meeuwis

Guus Meeuwis was born in 1972 in Mariahout, Brabant, and studied law in Tilburg. He broke through in 1995 with his band Vagant: "Het is een nacht... (Levensecht)" reached number 1 in the Top 40. In 1996, "Per spoor (Kedeng kedeng)" once again reached the top spot. As a solo artist, he released "Brabant" in 2002, which is known as the unofficial anthem of the province. From 2006 through 2024, he performed over seventy concerts at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven with Groots met een zachte G. He won a Golden Harp, three 3FM Awards, and the Edison Oeuvreprijs, among others.

What to expect

Meeuwis announced the Ahoy concerts on Instagram in May 2026. He said that he missed organizing something special in his own country, after performing mainly abroad in recent years. Ahoy describes it as an evening with the singer and his band. It has not yet been announced whether there will be an opening act.
